Seedstars World is a Switzerland based startup competition that takes place in emerging markets. Our vision is to reduce unemployment in emerging markets through the promotion and investment in entrepreneurship.

Co-founder & CEO

Alisée graduated from HEC Lausanne and obtained her Master in International Management at Bocconi University with highest honors. She lived eight years in Singapore and two years in Silicon Valley. She worked as product manager for luxury brands at L’Oreal Group and was part of the Italian team at Voyage Prive, a leading European startup. She was a member of the Harvard Model Congress Europe where she won the Award of Excellence. After traveling for a year around the world to set up the first edition of Seedstars World, Alisee is now managing the company and taking it to the next level!



Charlie studied at The University of Leeds, UK with a year at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and holds a Master of Engineering First Class Honours degree. He transitioned into finance following an MBA at the Collège des Ingénieurs, Paris and became a CFA charter holder. Charlie has six years of experience in innovative financial institutions. Working as an investment officer for four years at BlueOrchard Finance, he analysed and invested in microfinance institutions across Africa, MENA and Asia. When he’s not working on Seedstars World, Charlie can usually be found in the mountains or doing a triathlon!


Regional Manager for Asia

Karen graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in the United States where she double majored in Economics and Strategy and International Relations. Most recently she was the User Experience Lead at Timeline.com, an early-stage media tech startup in San Francisco. She was the San Francisco Community Ambassador for Thousand Network, a community of young global changemakers. Prior to her startup experience, she was an international development consultant with Dalberg Global Development Advisors where she led the ICT for Development practice area. She was the co-founder and CEO of Mahila Mobile, a social enterprise to increase women's access to mobile phone technology. When she's not scouting startups across Asia, Karen can be found trying new cuisines and documenting her thoughts on innovation at the intersection of design, community, and technology.


Regional Manager for Latin America

Lorena graduated from HEC Genève and is currently obtaining her Master of Science in Management from HEC Lausanne, specializing in Management of Technology and Entrepreneurship. During her studies, she was the vice-president of START Lausanne, active at EPFL and in HEC Lausanne. Lorena previously worked for projects of the Foundation of entrepreneurial creativity in Geneva, launching innovative projects with institutional partners, such as the City of Geneva and HES-SO, the University of Applied Sciences in Western Switzerland. Before joining SSW, she briefly dived into technology consulting at Innobridge. Born in the Philippines, she lived in Berlin and Switzerland and traveled around South America and Asia. It made perfect sense for her to join Seedstars World as it was the project combining everything she loves!


Regional Manager for Latin America

Enrique graduated from Tec de Monterrey and obtained a Master degree in Management from HEC Lausanne. He has 5 years experience working in Mactell de Mexico, developing sales and marketing strategies in LATAM related to technology and innovation with big corporates such as Honeywell, Wincor Nixdorf, IBM, and Zebra. In Europe, he has been working as a consultant on innovation for Innobridge and on the Strategy and Corporate development team of the biggest entrepreneur in Europe Virgin. When he won’t be organizing the third edition of Seedstars World and planning the revenue strategy, you might find him dancing salsa in the middle of the streets!


Regional Manager for Asia

Katarina graduated from Leiden University with a Master degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy. After finishing her studies, she lived in Israel and in New York, where she was interning at the Permanent Mission of Slovakia to the United Nations. She later became a team member of Impact Hub Bratislava, where she is providing support until now. For the past 6 months, Katarina was living in Malaysia, developing an e-health platform aimed to improve the pre-pregnancy health of women in order to reduce the risk of gestational diabetes. Combining her passion for social entrepreneurship  and enthusiasm for connecting like-minded people from all over the world, she happily joined Seedstars World as the Community and Regional Manager.


Regional Manager for Africa

After graduating from the University of Innsbruck with a double degree in Economics & Psychology, Marcello moved to Silicon Valley to work for Detecon, an innovation & strategy consulting subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. In that role, he helped global telcos identify, implement and incubate new ideas. He's also strongly involved in startup communities all over the world as a board member of StartupBus, an organizer of the AMPION venture bus in Africa as well as an advisor to the Academy for Corporate Entrepreneurship. He joined the Seedstars World Family as Regional Manager for Africa. When he’s not staring at a screen or organizing events, you can find him scuba diving the world's oceans.


Regional Manager for CEE and MENA

Igor holds two Master degrees in Civil & Industrial Engineering and Financial Management in Business. Being tech savvy and in love with innovations, Igor organized one of top tier conferences on startups and tech in CEE, called IDCEE for 3 years. Thanks to this opportunity, he attended numerous amount of events in Europe to scout startups, investors and partners. He also took part in organizing U-Start Conference Africain Cape Town. When not rocking Seedstars World, Igor is on the soccer pitch or in mountains for snowboarding.


Regional Manager for CEE and MENA

John holds a degree in Finance from Notre Dame University of Lebanon, and Translation from the Lebanese University. He was the co-curator of TEDxBeirut, and an organizer of ArabNet Beirut 2015 before joining Seedstars World as the Regional Manager for CEE & MENA. When he's not traveling the world looking for startups, you'll find him helping the smartest founders he knows


Regional Manager for Africa

Gregory has successfully finished his Bachelor of Science in Management at HEC Lausanne. During his studies he was the President of the Comité des Etudiants HEC Lausanne, representing the students in various political positions in the faculty and university. In parallel, he worked in the communication division of the business school and co-organised the first entrepreneurship week on campus. When he is not working on projects or coordinating events, you'll find him behind a camera.


Communications & Editorial Manager

After obtaining a Bachelor in International Relations from The London School of Economics, Bérénice followed with a Master in French Language and Civilization at the New York University in Paris. Seeing as her passion is writing, she worked and freelanced for several publications, including the International Herald Tribune, L’Officiel Paris and OURS Magazine. She is also on the Young Advisory Committee of the International Foundation for Population and Development, a Swiss-based NGO that funds projects which support women and youth in developing countries. When she is not writing for Seedstars World, you can find her exploring the far ends of the earth in places like Antarctica and Saudi Arabia!


Final Event Manager

Sandra studied Tourism and Events Management at ISTEC in Paris and holds an MBA in Marketing and Events Management.  She co-founded the first Entrepreneurs Festival in France, which reunites the top CEOs in the country. Sandra is now proud to be a part of the Seedstars World adventure. Her motto is “Believe in your dreams and live each day with passion” and when she’s not working on Seedstars World, Sandra can usually be found behind the kitchen oven of Seedspace or dancing Lindy hop!
